Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. rice or cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame seed
  • 2 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. peeled, minced ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5 cups coarsely chopped broccoli
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar in a small bowl; set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
  3. Add sesame seed; cook 1 minute or until browned.
  4. Remove sesame seed and set aside.
  5. Add vegetable oil, crushed red pepper, minced ginger, and minced garlic to the skillet.
  6. Stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  7. Add the soy sauce mixture; stir well.
  8. Cover and cook for 2 minutes or until broccoli is crisp-tender.
  9. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seed before serving.
