Taco Chips Ole features seasoned ground turkey and rich tomato sauce served over crispy tortilla chips, topped with fresh vegetables and cheese for a flavorful, satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 12 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 3/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • dash of cumin powder
  • dash of oregano
  • salt to taste
  • 1 1/4 c. Cheddar, grated
  • 4 c. lettuce, shredded
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 1/4 oz. can sliced ripe olives, drained
  • salsa
  • 8 oz. stoneground taco or tortilla chips

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground turkey and chopped onion together in a large skillet.
  2. Add tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, and salt; bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Arrange the tortilla chips on a serving platter.
  4. Top with cooked turkey mixture, grated cheddar, shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sliced olives, and salsa.
