Taco Rice

A flavorful and filling dish combining seasoned ground beef, rice, and cheese, perfect for quick weeknight dinners and customizable with tortillas or served plain.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 c. white rice
  • 1 Tbsp. ground cumin
  • grated Cheddar cheese
  • flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. Fry ground beef until browned, then drain off grease.
  2. Add taco seasoning, dry rice, water, and seasonings to the beef.
  3. Bring to a boil, then lower to the lowest setting.
  4. Cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until rice is tender.
  5. Sprinkle grated Cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Serve in flour tortillas or plain.
