Ingredients

  • 2 c. chopped lettuce
  • 16 oz. small curd cottage cheese
  • 8 oz. softened cream cheese
  • 1 to 2 c. chopped tomato
  • 1/2 chopped large red onion
  • grated yellow Cheddar cheese
  • 1 small jar mild Ortega taco sauce

Instructions

  1. Layer chopped lettuce at the bottom of the dish.
  2. Mix cottage cheese and softened cream cheese together and spread over the lettuce.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes and red onion on top of the cheese mixture.
  4. Sprinkle grated yellow Cheddar cheese over the vegetables.
  5. Add the mild Ortega taco sauce about 1 hour before serving.
  6. Serve with tortilla chips.
