Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef

  • 2 cups grated Cheddar cheese

  • 1 package chili powder

Instructions

  1. Mix together ground beef, chopped onion, chopped garlic, chopped green bell pepper, creamed corn, chopped black olives, 1 tablespoon chili powder, and 1 1/2 cups grated Cheddar cheese.
  2. Put the meat mixture into a 9 x 11 x 2-inch pan.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the Jiffy cornmeal mix according to package directions with egg and milk.
  4. Add 1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese and 1 tablespoon chili powder to the Jiffy mix.
  5. Pour the cornbread mixture on top of the meat mixture in the pan.
  6. Bake according to the Jiffy box directions for cornbread.
