Tamale Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. dry Great Northern beans
  • 1 large can hot tamales
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook dry beans until done, leaving slightly soupy. Season with salt and pepper (or red pepper flakes). Add canned tamales; remove paper from them after they get "rinsed" off in bean liquid. Cut them into large chunks in pot. Add cheese and beat until cheese melts.
