Ingredients

  • 5 chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless
  • 3/4 tsp seasoned pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp parsley flakes, crushed
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Rinse chicken breasts, removing any loose fat, and lay flat.
  2. Sprinkle seasoned pepper, garlic powder, and crushed parsley on one side of each chicken breast.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a skillet with the seasoned side up.
  4. Pour soy sauce over the chicken, then add water around the chicken in the skillet.
  5. Cover the skillet with a lid and steam the chicken for approximately 5 to 7 minutes per side, turning twice.
  6. Remove the lid and cook further until most of the liquid has evaporated and the chicken is done (total cooking time approximately 20 to 30 minutes).
