Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or oleo
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (No. 2) can red kidney beans, drained and chopped fine
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 8 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Brown the hamburger in the butter or oleo.
  2. Add salt, pepper, chopped onion, and minced garlic.
  3. Stir in the drained and chopped kidney beans.
  4. Add oregano and chili powder.
  5. Simmer for 10 minutes longer.
  6. Put a generous spoonful of the mixture into each hamburger bun and serve with potato chips and pickles.
