Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp crushed ginger root
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 lb ground beef

Instructions

  1. Mix soy sauce, sugar, ginger, and garlic in a bowl.
  2. Shape ground beef into four patties.
  3. Place patties in a shallow glass dish and pour the soy sauce mixture over them.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate.
  5. Remove patties from marinade.
  6. Place patties on a grill 4 inches above hot coals.
  7. Cook about 7 minutes on each side, basting with reserved marinade.
  8. Serve the patties in split, buttered hamburger buns.
