Savory Tex-Mex wontons combine seasoned ground beef, beans, and cheese in crispy wrappers, perfect for parties or snack lovers craving bold, spicy flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons green pepper
  • 15 oz can refried beans
  • 1/4 cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 4 dozen wonton skins
  • taco sauce

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef, chopped onion, and green pepper; drain well.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, refried beans, grated Cheddar cheese, and chili powder; mix well.
  3. Place half a teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wonton skin and fold well to seal.
  4. Cook the filled wontons in hot oil for about 1 minute on each side, or until golden brown.
  5. Serve hot with taco sauce and sour cream for dipping.
