Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup margarine, melted
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Combine the yellow cake mix, one beaten egg, and melted margarine until well blended.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into an ungreased 9x13-inch baking pan.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes or until lightly golden.
  5. In the meantime, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  6. Add vanilla, 2 eggs, and powdered sugar; beat until well combined.
  7. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the baked crust.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until set.
  9. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
