Texas Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef ⓘ
- 1/2 lb. bulk sausage ⓘ
- 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs ⓘ
- 1 egg, slightly beaten ⓘ
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed onion soup ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch ⓘ
- cooked rice ⓘ
- 1/4 c. vinegar ⓘ
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 1/8 tsp. hot pepper sauce ⓘ
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed tomato soup ⓘ
- 2 large cloves garlic, minced ⓘ
- 1 tsp. chili powder ⓘ
Instructions
- Mix beef, sausage, bread crumbs and egg. Shape into balls. Brown meatballs.
- Pour off fat. Add remaining ingredients except rice. Cover and cook over low heat 20 minutes until done. Stir occasionally. Serve over rice.
- Makes 5 cups.
