Three Belles Rum Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 pkg yellow cake mix
  • 1 pkg instant vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup dk rum or substitute
  • Glaze
  • 1/4 # butter
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. A. Grease and flour 10" tube pan
  2. B. Sprinkle nuts over pan bottom
  3. C. Mix remaining ingredients, pour in batter, and bake 1 hr at 325F.
  4. D. Invert over plate and ice pick many holes over top, add glaze slowly.
  5. Glaze
  6. Melt butter, stir in water and sugar. Boil 5 min. Stir constantly. Stir in rum or substitute.
