- Melt butter in a frying pan and fry the pork chops on both sides until browned.
- Remove the chops from the pan and spread mustard on one side of each chop.
- Keep the pork chops warm.
- In the remaining butter and juices, fry the chopped onion until translucent.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the mixed herbs and cider, then cook until the sauce thickens.
- Arrange sliced apples in a casserole dish and pour the sauce over them.
- Place the pork chops on top of the apples and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (Gas Mark 4) for 25 minutes.
