Toffee Apple Pie

- Prepare the pie crust according to the package directions for a filled 9-inch pie pan. Refrigerate the remaining crust for another use.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel and thinly slice the apples.
- In a large bowl, combine apples, granulated sugar, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, cornstarch, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and a dash of nutmeg. Mix well.
- Chop one toffee candy bar and fold into the apple mixture.
- Roll out the pie crust and fit it into the 9-inch pie pan.
- Pour the apple mixture into the prepared crust.
- Sprinkle the remaining brown sugar, flour, chopped pecans, and the second chopped toffee candy bar over the filling.
- Cut 2 tablespoons of butter into small pieces and dot over the top of the filling.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Allow the pie to cool slightly before serving.
