Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 12 oz. can corn, drained
  • 1/2 to 1 c. sliced olives
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 1/2 c. grated cheese
  • 1 Jiffy corn bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening

Instructions

  1. Brown onion, green pepper and hamburger.
  2. Add and then simmer tomato sauce, corn, olives, sugar, salt, pepper and chili powder and cheese.
  3. Place in baking dish and top with corn bread, eggs, milk and shortening.
  4. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
