Ingredients

  • 1 Pillsbury yellow cake mix with pudding included
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix 1 slightly beaten egg with dry cake mix and melted butter to moisten the dough.
  3. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan and press the mixture evenly into the pan to form the crust.
  4. Beat the cream cheese with 3 eggs and vanilla until creamy.
  5. Gradually beat in most of the powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust.
  7. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350°F, or longer if needed, until set.
  8. Sprinkle remaining powdered sugar and chopped pecans over the top before serving.
