  • 1 tsp. grated ginger
  • 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 lb. carrots, peeled, cut into 4 x 1/2-inch strips
  • 1/2 lb. turnips, peeled, cut into 4 x 1/2-inch strips

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, boil 1/4 cup of chicken broth with minced garlic, grated ginger, and crushed red pepper flakes until almost all the liquid evaporates.
  2. Add the carrots and turnips along with the remaining 3/4 cup of chicken broth; cover and cook for 4 to 6 minutes or just until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
