Ingredients

  • 6 lb. lake trout fillets
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. white pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. m.s.g.
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 lb. almonds

Instructions

  1. Clean and wipe the trout, then cut into portion-sized pieces.
  2. Mix flour, salt, white pepper, m.s.g., and garlic powder in a bowl.
  3. Dredge the trout pieces in the seasoned flour mixture.
  4. Heat 1/2 cup of butter in a large, heavy frypan until bubbling.
  5. Brown the trout for 4 minutes on each side.
  6. Remove the trout and keep warm in a preheated oven.
