- 1/2 loaf bread or 1 can biscuits, crumbled ⓘ
- 4 celery stalks, chopped ⓘ
- 1 large bell pepper, chopped ⓘ
- 1 small bunch green onions, chopped ⓘ
- 6 hard-boiled eggs, diced ⓘ
- salt to taste ⓘ
- pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine celery, bell pepper, and green onions.
- Cook until tender and season lightly with salt, pepper, and sage if desired.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine crumbled cornbread and crumbled bread or biscuits.
- Add the sautéed vegetables, diced hard-boiled eggs, and seasonings; toss well.
- Add turkey broth gradually and mix until the desired consistency is reached.
- Stuff the cooked turkey with the dressing or place in a baking dish.
