A creamy, comforting casserole combining tender turkey or chicken with mushrooms and broccoli, topped with cheese for a satisfying meal suitable for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. turkey or chicken, cooked
  • 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp. dry vermouth (optional)
  • 1 can (4 oz.) mushroom pieces, drained
  • 2 lb. broccoli spears, cooked

Instructions

  1. Cut cooked turkey or chicken into thin pieces and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, dry vermouth (if using), and drained mushroom pieces.
  3. Spread about one-third of the mushroom mixture in the bottom of a 12 x 8-inch dish.
  4. Arrange the sliced turkey or chicken over the mushroom mixture, overlapping slightly.
  5. Place cooked broccoli spears on top of the meat.
  6. Spoon the remaining mushroom sauce over the broccoli.
  7. Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 450°F for 20 minutes.
