Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp margarine
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Accent seasoning
  • 2 cups cooked turkey, finely chopped
  • 2 cups biscuit mix

Instructions

  1. In a 10-inch skillet over low heat, melt the margarine; add chopped onion and celery.
  2. Cook, stirring often until the onion is golden.
  3. Stir in flour; gradually add 1/2 cup milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and add salt, chopped turkey, and Accent seasoning.
  5. Set aside to cool while preparing the dough.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the biscuit mix and poultry seasoning; add 2/3 cup milk and mix to form a dough.
  7. Roll the dough to a 10-inch square on a floured surface.
  8. Spread the turkey mixture evenly over the dough.
  9. Roll up the dough tightly from one edge to the other, sealing the seam.
  10. Place the roll seam side down on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
  11. Brush the top with extra milk.
  12. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
