Ingredients

  • 2 Buttermilk Biscuits
  • 2 Breakfast-Sausage patties
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 Slices of Cheddar cheese
  • +2 cups Sausage Gravy
  • -2.5 cups Water
  • -3.5 cups Milk
  • -1/2 Lb. Pork Sausage
  • -3/4 cups Flour
  • -2 Tbsp. Salt

Instructions

  1. Sandwich=
  2. Make Biscuits & start gravy. Split biscuits in half and set aside on plates.
  3. In a saute pan, cook the sausage patties. Remove from the pan and place on bottom half of each buiscuit. Add butter to the sausage fat and melt. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook to desired doneness. Top the sausage with cheese and tehn top with fried eggs. Place another half of each biscuit on top of the egg and smother with the sausage gravy.
  4. GRAVY=
  5. Mix water and milk in a stock pot and slowly heat. Do not boil.
  6. In a cast-iron skillet, cook the sausage. The meat should be cdhopper frequently while cooking to gice it a ground beef consistency. When the sausage is well done, carefully strain/save the grease then add meat to pot.
  7. Put grease back into skillet over moderate heat. Stir in flour, salt & pepper to make roux. Cook this mixture until it clings to the spoon while stirring. When the milk & water mixture is just under boiling, stir in the sausage roux while turning off the heat to thicken gravy.
