Ingredients

  • 60 ml honey
  • 14 cup brown sugar
  • 14 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cups oats
  • 12 cup flax seed
  • 12 cup wheat germ
  • 14 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 12 cup almonds
  • 14 cup pitted dates
  • 1 tablespoon goji berry
  • 2 tablespoons golden sultana raisins
  • 2 tablespoons prunes

Instructions

  1. Put honey, sugar, maple syrup and oil in a saucepan.
  2. Heat until sugar dissolved.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients (except the fruit - and note that you can use any dried fruit of your choosing) in a bowl, then pour the honey mixture over.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Spread out on baking parchment on a baking tray, and bake at 180 celsius or 350 fahrenheit until golden brown, about 30 - 40 minutes (stirring every 10 - 15 minutes).
  6. Chop the dates and any of the larger fruit you are using while the muesli is cooking.
  7. Take the tray out of the oven, add the dried fruit, mix through and bake a further 10 minutes.
  8. Leave to cool completely, then package in airtight containers.
  9. Will last up to a week - if there's any left!
