These no-bake chocolate cookies combine rich cocoa, oats, and peanut butter for a delicious treat that’s quick to prepare and perfect for satisfying sweet cravings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 or 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • dash of salt
  • 3 cups quick rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup nuts or coconut

Instructions

  1. Bring sugar, margarine, milk, vanilla, chocolate, and salt to a boil; boil for 2 minutes.
  2. Have ready the oats, peanut butter, and nuts or coconut if desired.
  3. Add the oats, peanut butter, and nuts or coconut to the hot mixture and stir well.
  4. Drop quickly by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
  5. Leave until cool and set.
