Ingredients

  • 2 cups vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 to 4 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • dash of black pepper
  • dash of cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine vinegar, salt, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, oleo, lemon slices, black pepper, and cayenne in a saucepan.
  2. Simmer the mixture over low heat for several hours, stirring occasionally.
  3. Place chicken in a basket and cook for about 2 1/2 hours, basting frequently with the sauce.
  4. Serve the finished dish with extra sauce on the side, ideal for a hearty barbecue meal.
