Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups smashed berries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 yellow pudding in the mix cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup oil

Instructions

  1. Place sugar and butter in a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 3 to 5 minutes at 350°F.
  2. Remove from oven and spread evenly.
  3. Mix together berries, 1/2 cup sugar, and flour.
  4. Pour berry mixture over the butter mixture in the pan.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix remaining ingredients until moist.
  6. Pour batter over berries, spreading evenly.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 50 to 55 minutes.
  8. Run a knife around the edge to loosen the cake.
  9. Turn the cake upside down onto a serving tray.
  10. Serve warm or cold.
