- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sauté diced onion and green bell pepper in margarine until tender.
- Mix sautéed vegetables with cottage cheese, bread crumbs, shredded Cheddar cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into balls.
- Place on a nonstick baking sheet and flatten each ball into a patty.
- Bake until golden brown and puffy, about 15 minutes.
- Turn the patties over and bake for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until evenly cooked and crispy.
