Vegetable Hamburger Pie

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped onion ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil ⓘ
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes ⓘ
- 2 teaspoons salt ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes ⓘ
- 1 (10 oz.) package frozen green peas, thawed
- 2 cloves minced garlic ⓘ
- 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck ⓘ
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper ⓘ
- 1 (17 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained ⓘ
Instructions
- Saute chopped onion and minced garlic in vegetable oil about 5 minutes or until tender.
- Add ground chuck and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
- Drain excess fat; add canned tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, parsley flakes, and pepper.
- Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in drained whole kernel corn and thawed green peas.
- Pour the mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
- Place biscuits on top of the meat and vegetable mixture.
- Bake at 350°F until biscuits are golden brown.
