Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1 (10 oz.) package frozen green peas, thawed
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (17 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped onion and minced garlic in vegetable oil about 5 minutes or until tender.
  2. Add ground chuck and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
  3. Drain excess fat; add canned tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, parsley flakes, and pepper.
  4. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in drained whole kernel corn and thawed green peas.
  6. Pour the mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
  7. Place biscuits on top of the meat and vegetable mixture.
  8. Bake at 350°F until biscuits are golden brown.
