Ingredients

  • 4 lb dry pinto beans
  • 3 yellow onions
  • 5 stalks celery
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 10 cloves garlic
  • 15 chili peppers (Fresno, long green, jalapeno, depending on heat preference)
  • 1 large can tomatoes
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1 large bunch cilantro

Instructions

  1. Soak the dry pinto beans overnight or bring them to a boil.
  2. Cover the beans and let them stand for an hour.
  3. Drain the beans.
  4. Cover the beans with water.
  5. Bring to a boil and then lower the heat to a simmer, cooking until tender.
