Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup soft butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 8 x 8-inch pan.
  4. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
