Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 whole squash
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • grated cheese (lite or regular)
  • smoked sausage or cooked bacon, cut up
  • 1/2 cup Pepperidge Farm herb stuffing mix
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the squash.
  2. Drop the squash slices into hard boiling water.
  3. Bring the water back to a boil.
  4. Drain the squash and run tap water over them to cool.
  5. Place the squash in ice water until chilled.
  6. Drain again and put the squash in freezer bags.
