Ingredients

  • 3 boxes frozen chopped broccoli
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp chicken bouillon crystals
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 8 Tbsp flour
  • 3 1/2 cups milk
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 small package (8 oz.) herb stuffing

Instructions

  1. Cook the frozen chopped broccoli until barely tender, then drain and transfer to a casserole dish.
  2. In a saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter and stir in the flour to make a roux.
  3. Remove from heat and add chicken bouillon crystals, stirring until dissolved.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, then return to heat and cook until the sauce is smooth and boiling.
  5. Pour the sauce over the cooked broccoli in the casserole dish.
  6. In a separate saucepan, heat 3/4 cup water and 6 tablespoons butter until melted.
  7. Add the herb stuffing and walnuts to the butter mixture, stirring until combined.
  8. Sprinkle the stuffing mixture over the broccoli and bake at 400°F for 20 to 30 minutes.
