A rich, creamy walnut Swiss cheese spread with a hint of sherry and cayenne, perfect for serving with crackers at parties or as a savory snack.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. dry sherry
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne red pepper
  • 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • assorted crackers

Instructions

  1. Beat all ingredients except walnuts and crackers in a medium bowl until creamy.
  2. Stir in chopped walnuts.
  3. Pack into a 2-cup crock or non-metal container; cover tightly.
  4. Refrigerate for no longer than 2 weeks and remove 1 hour before serving.
  5. Garnish with additional walnuts if desired.
  6. Serve with assorted crackers.
