Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 (10 oz.) can French onion soup
  • 2 lb. ground round
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • few drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1 (21 oz.) can red kidney beans (undrained)
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 6 oz. tomato paste

Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Brown the ground round until the color disappears and meat is cooked through.
  3. Set the browned meat aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the French onion soup, chili powder, ground cumin, black pepper, and a few drops of Tabasco sauce.
  5. Simmer for a few minutes to blend flavors.
  6. Add the cooked meat, red kidney beans (undrained), tomato sauce, and tomato paste to the skillet.
  7. Stir well and simmer for 10-15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  8. Serve hot, garnished as desired.
