Ingredients

  • 3 lb. boneless ground or chunk roast
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. catsup
  • 1/4 c. Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. salt

Instructions

  1. In a heavy pot, brown the boneless roast on all sides in oil.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until golden.
  3. Combine catsup, cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and salt. Pour over the meat.
  4. Simmer, covered, until the meat is tender, about 3 hours.
  5. Serve sliced with sauce, along with onions, carrots, and potatoes, if desired.
