Ingredients

  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 5 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour milk

Instructions

  1. Bring oleo, water, shortening, and cocoa to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Mix in the remaining ingredients: flour, sugar, soda, cinnamon, eggs, and sour milk.
  4. Pour the batter into a large greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes at 400°F.
