Ingredients

  • 2 c. corn meal
  • 4 c. water
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Add cornmeal and water together and boil until thick, stirring constantly.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients to the cooked cornmeal mixture and mix well.
  3. Pour the batter into a well-greased baking pan (sheet cake pan).
  4. Bake in a 375°F oven for 1 hour.
  5. Let stand for 15 minutes to set before cutting into small squares.
