Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 large package chopped dates
  • 1/2 pound butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 4 to 5 cups Rice Krispies
  • coconut

Instructions

  1. Cook sugar, eggs, chopped dates, and butter for 10 minutes or until dates are mushy.
  2. Add vanilla, salt, chopped nuts, and Rice Krispies; mix well.
  3. Take a small amount of mixture and shape into a ball.
  4. Roll the balls in coconut to coat.
