Ingredients

  • 8 (1/2-inch) pork chops
  • flour
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 1/2 lb fresh mushrooms
  • 1 large pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp sage
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Coat pork chops with flour.
  2. Brown pork chops well in oil on both sides and transfer to a large ovenproof casserole.
  3. Top the pork chops with peeled and quartered potatoes.
  4. Brown sliced mushrooms, sliced peppers, and minced garlic in the drippings.
  5. Transfer the mushroom mixture to the casserole.
  6. Top the casserole with quartered tomatoes.
  7. Sprinkle with oregano, sage, salt, and pepper.
  8. Pour white wine over the ingredients.
  9. Cover and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
