A versatile wine marinade that adds rich flavor to poultry and meats, combining wine, garlic, and Worcestershire for a savory, tenderizing boost perfect for grilling or roasting.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup salad oil
  • 1/2 cup red or white wine
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 1 teaspoon onion, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix the oil and wine together and then add the rest of the ingredients.
  2. Stir and let chill for several hours.
  3. When ready to cook, pour over either prepared poultry or meat.
  4. Chill for 3 more hours.
  5. Baste with the sauce during cooking of the meat.
