  2. Cook until the onion is transparent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add diced green peppers.
  4. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add crushed tomatoes, Tabasco or hot pepper sauce, and salsa or chopped jalapeno peppers depending on desired heat level.
  6. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
