Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Brazil nuts
  • 1 lb. mixed fruit
  • 2 boxes coconut
  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 lb. English walnuts
  • 1 qt. pecans
  • 2 boxes raisins
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Mix sugar, eggs, butter, and milk well in a bowl.
  3. Roll the nuts in 1 cup of flour, then add to the creamed mixture.
  4. Pour the batter into a Dutch oven and tie waxed paper over the top.
  5. Place the Dutch oven into a dishpan with water and boil for 2 hours.
  6. After boiling, remove from water and bake in the oven for an additional 30 minutes at 300°F.
