Ingredients

  • 8 c. torn salad greens
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 2 medium green peppers, chopped
  • 1 medium red onion, chopped
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 c. salad dressing or mayo
  • 1 c. (8 oz.) sour cream
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 lb. sliced bacon

Instructions

  1. Place salad greens in the bottom of a 3-quart bowl or 13 x 9 x 2-inch dish.
  2. Top with layers of chopped celery, chopped green peppers, chopped red onion, and thawed peas.
  3. Do not toss the salad.
  4. Combine salad dressing, sour cream, and sugar; spread over the layered salad.
  5. Sprinkle with shredded Cheddar cheese and crumbled cooked bacon.
  6. Cover and refrigerate overnight before serving.
