Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups canned peaches with juice
  • 2 1/2 cups canned pineapple with juice
  • 2 jars maraschino cherries (10 oz. each)
  • 7 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 cups chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 3 cups chopped dates or raisins
  • 3 boxes yellow cake mix (without pudding)
  • 3 boxes instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 dozen eggs
  • 2 cups cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Use a large bowl with a tight-fitting lid, such as Tupperware.
  2. Combine all ingredients: peaches with juice, pineapple with juice, maraschino cherries, sugar, chopped pecans or walnuts, chopped dates or raisins, yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding, eggs, and cooking oil.
  3. Stir thoroughly with a wooden spoon until well mixed.
  4. Do not refrigerate during the 30-day process.
