Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon soda

Instructions

  1. Mix cocoa with a little water until smooth.
  2. Combine oil and margarine and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Mix sifted flour and sugar together, then add the cooled chocolate mixture.
  4. Add eggs, buttermilk, and the soda that have been mixed together.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased and floured pan.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 40 minutes.
