Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 to 4 cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 packages yeast
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup oleo

Instructions

  1. Put yeast, sugar, salt, and 1 cup of flour in a mixing bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, put milk, water, and oleo.
  3. Heat the mixture to 120° to 130°F.
  4. Pour the heated mixture into the flour mixture.
  5. Beat for 4 to 5 minutes.
  6. Add 1 cup of flour, then 1/2 cup of flour, mixing after each addition until the dough is not sticky.
  7. Put the dough in a buttered bowl.
  8. Let it rise for 15 to 20 minutes.
  9. Divide the dough in half, form into 12 rolls each, and place in a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  10. Let the rolls rise for another 15 to 20 minutes.
  11. Bake at 400°F for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
