Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 lb. ground pork (lean)
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp. catsup
  • 3 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 c. chopped pickles
  • 1 tsp. chopped garlic
  • 1/3 c. melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef with ground pork.
  2. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/5 teaspoon pepper to the ground meat.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape into patties.
  5. Cover the patties with foil and refrigerate.
  6. Mix mayonnaise, catsup, mustard, chopped onions, chopped pickles, chopped garlic, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/5 teaspoon pepper in a bowl.
  7. Mix well and refrigerate the sauce for 1 1/2 hours.
  8. Prepare 4 large lettuce leaves and slice 2 tomatoes.
  9. Cook the patties on a grill or in a frying pan over medium heat until cooked through, turning as needed.
  10. Melt butter and brush it onto the hamburger buns.
  11. Brown the buns on the grill or in a hot skillet until golden and heated through.
  12. Assemble the burgers: place lettuce on the bun, spread sauce over the lettuce, add the cooked hamburger patty, then tomato slices, and top with additional sauce.
