Ingredients

  • 1 cup grits, warm
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 (9-inch) deep dish pie shell

Instructions

  1. Place cheese, ham, and onions in the pie shell.
  2. Blend together the remaining ingredients and pour over the cheese mixture.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes.
  4. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
