  1. Wash the pork chops and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Dip the pork chops in flour.
  3. Heat hot grease in a skillet and brown the pork chops on both sides for about 1 minute each.
  4. Arrange the browned pork chops in a roaster.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of uncooked rice, 1 slice of onion, 1 slice of peeled tomato, and 1 ring of bell pepper on each chop.
  6. Place a small piece of butter in each bell pepper ring.
  7. Sprinkle the vegetables and pork with salt and pepper.
  8. Carefully pour hot water over the rice to cover it.
  9. Cover the roaster and cook for one hour until the rice is tender and the pork is cooked through.
